Nicole Farhi and The Talented Mr Ripley

Anyone seen the classic movie The Talented Mr Ripley ? if you enjoyed it, you will enjoy this post too.

British designer Nicole Farhi draws inspiration for her  Spring / Summer 2010 collection from the Extravagant styles of Alain Delon, Mr Delon plays the character of Tom Ripley.

In the movie you spot lots of polo tops, rolled up chinos, loafers/ driving shoes , panama hats and fine tailored suits. For her collection, Nicole pairs suit jackets with chinos and linen trousers creating a very dapper look for the real life fashion Savvy  Ripleys out there.

The collection based on the first Novel The Talented Mr Ripley, and the 1960 french movie Purple Moon (Plein Soleil )

Hello Beauties,

Hope you enjoyed the heat wave over the weekend.. the sun was out for 3 days in a row, bliss..... sheer Bliss. Sunshine = Season Change and Season Change = Summer Sale.

Everyday my mail box is bombarded with newsletters, 70% off shoes/clothes , free next day delivery, buy one get free, preview the sale, be first in line for the next 48 hours blah blah blah and everything else you can think of, I feel so harassed, yes i do.

So, I have avoided Zara for the past few weeks, erm i eventually gave in, popped into Zara with a friend and i could not resist these bad boys. It was half price, yay me!!! I am a certified Bargain Hunter.
